RIC 29 Sealed With Love

Hi there! Today I am playing along with the Runway Inspired Challenge
This weeks inspiration really did inspire me. Probably because it's pink. But that tan leather and the texture of the old fashion suit cases are so awesome. I have more ideas too!  Reminds me a little bit of old Hawaii. Like how my grandma dressed up to fly on planes back in the day. It was more glamorous to fly back then. The movie Pearl Harbor comes to mind. I sometimes wish it was still like that where people dressed up more to go out of the house. But then sometimes I am glad we don't HAVE to really. It's a catch 22.
I decided to use a stamp set I got a stamp show a couple years ago made by Tattered Angels. I don't know the name, but I used 2 different stamps to achieve this seal. It is hard to read in the picture, but it says "Sealed With LOVE".  I used Raspberry Fizz paper then I heat embossed with Recollections Party Pink Embossing Powder. I layered over and over and over again to get it thick enough. It is sort of strange the marbled affect that it created, because there is no white in the embossing powder at all. But I think it turned out interesting.  The Card base is actually vintage white, but it looks more white in the photo. I hand braided  3 pieces of the twine to make it thicker and more size appropriate with the seal. Then I scored the lines with my Martha Stewart Score Board.
It wasn't that hard to make just a bit messy with the powder.
Itty Bitty Tip -I would recommend using a box to do your embossing. I had embossing powder EVERYWHERE.

Here is the link if you want to play along with with us over at the RIC blog.

Thanks for stopping by today!

If I can inspire just one person today I have done my job!
